The holiday season is upon us at last, and here at Sloane we have visions of sugar plums, warm fireplaces, and holiday gatherings dancing around in our heads!
There are endless ways to serve tea for Christmas, whether it’s infused into your favourite treat, blended with juice and spirits to make a special cocktail, or just on its own in a pot for everyone to share. Our tins make great stocking stuffers and hostess gifts, and nothing warms up a gift shopping adventure around your local neighbourhood like a hot cup of tea in a cup to go. No matter where this holiday season takes you, Sloane tea promises to warm your hands, and your heart!
Last week we got together with the Bicyclette Blog to come up with a special tea infused recipe to make your holiday season a bit more merry and bright, and in the end we decided this white wine sangria was just the thing. Infused with our Perfectly Pear white tea, this festive delight is light and refreshing- the perfect addition to any holiday cocktail party, family dinner, or evening spent trimming the tree.
1 apple, chopped
1 bosc pear, chopped
2 handfuls frozen cranberries
1 cup pear juice (ideally fresh squeezed)
1 bundle of Rosemary
1 bottle of white wine
1 can of club soda
Sloane’s Perfectly Pear tea
1. Cold steep 5 teaspoons of Perfectly Pear tea in 32oz of filtered water in the fridge overnight. In the morning, strain out the leaves, then pour the iced tea into a jug or punch bowl.
2. Add half a bottle of wine and the pear juice to your iced tea. Next, add the fruit and a few sprigs of rosemary. Stir, then top it off with more wine and club soda to add a bit of sparkle. Serve chilled with festive straws and a rosemary sprig garnish!
