One of the benchmarks of a great Easter weekend is an exceptional Easter brunch, and we strongly believe that tea is an integral part to any brunch spread!
Tea’s the season at Sloane, and we’re in the spirit to slow the pace and embrace the times. Whether it be hosting an elaborate holiday dinner, getting together with friends or simply getting cozy by the fire, there is no better way to savour a moment than curled up with cup of holiday cheer. This time, we chose eggnog.
The leaves are falling, the holidays are looming, and the most wonderful time of the year can almost be the most stressful. If you’re anything like us, sometimes you need a reminder to slow down and smell the cocoa. While tea may be our obvious drink of choice, we can’t deny the sweet satisfaction that accompanies that first sip of warm cocoa. We’ve decided to give this cold weather classic a Sloane spin, and what better way to do this than with a tea infusion! The perfect pairing: Our Cocoa Chai Chai, a rich masala based tea featuring whole green cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and clove, topped with sumptuous Brazilian cocoa nibs. The result: A sweet and spicy treat we’re sure you’ll make over and over again.
Autumn…One of our absolute favourite seasons. Maybe it’s the way nature works its magic with the changing of the leaves, the cool, crisp air, or maybe it’s the comfort a pie brings when wrapped in buttery flaky pie dough. No matter what it is, it’s a time for comfort and festive celebration with our loved ones.
Throughout our journey at Sloane Tea, we’ve had the honour of crossing paths and developing flourishing friendships with truly talented artists and dreamers. Recently, we came together and created an incredibly memorable Afternoon Tea experience to celebrate a milestone birthday for one very special lady. As we are firm believers in “life is in the details”, we sought out to ensure that the tone of the event could be heard by guests through beautifully designed invitations by Chelsi Lee Designs. We’re fans of her bohemian chic aesthetic which was perfect for an intimate afternoon of sweet sophistication.
One of the best parts of being located in Canada’s biggest city is having the ability to connect with local talent and meet other artisans and makers. We love the incredible community of dedicated foodies in Toronto, and nothing warms our hearts like sharing delicious experiences and working side by side to make this city a world class food destination.
March has been a month full of so many delightful happenings, two of our favourites being Persian New Year, and the first day of Spring. We’re so ready for the city to fill with beautiful blooms and warm sunshine, and we wanted to come up with a tea infused recipe inspired by the change in season to share with all of you.
At Sloane Fine Tea Merchants, we believe that beauty is in the details, and we strive to make every aspect of our packaging and beautiful and intricate as the tea blends themselves. We put a lot of love and care into our tea tins, and we like to think that you might want to keep them around long after your tea is finished. In the past we’ve used empty tins as pen holders, or storage for tea accessories, but this Martha Stewart idea got us thinking- wouldn’t Sloane tins looks great filled with flowers?
We love the entire Sloane tea collection, but over the years its become quite clear that our customers definitely have a favourite- in fact this particular blend has developed an almost cult-like following! If you haven’t guessed already, it’s our Heavenly Cream, a rich vanilla bergamot Ceylon black tea that seems to enchant every tea lover it touches, and there’s no better way to enjoy it than in a fluffy, indulgent tea latte!
