We’re all about giving tea for the holidays in all of its wonderful forms, and this DIY adds a touch of tea to your homemade gifting agenda this year!

There’s nothing quite as special as a gift carefully hand crafted by a loved one (other than a caddy of Heavenly Cream that is) and we wanted to get our hands dirty this year with a creation that promises to have you feeling squeaky clean in time for the New Year.

Sugar Scrub is a simple, all-natural way to exfoliate, and black tea just adds to the many benefits thanks to its high vitamin content. It contains polyphenols and tannins, which help accelerate skin regeneration, making it the perfect ingredient to round out a healthy skin exfoliating regimen. If you’re looking for that beautiful holiday glow, look no further! Why not make a couple jars to gift your friends, and one or two for yourself too?

What you will need //

1 ½ cups granulated white sugar

4 teaspoons Sloane Signature Black tea

2 teaspoons dried flowers of your choice (we used rose and lavender)

¼ cup coconut oil

Airtight glass containers

Label maker / Washi tape / ribbon and other decorative touches

With a mortar and pestle, gently crush the black tea leaves with dried flowers. Add sugar slowly while mixing thoroughly.

Warm 1/4 cup coconut oil to allow it to turn from a solid to a liquid, but do not pour the oil into the sugar bowl while is it still too warm or it will cause the sugar to melt.

Carefully pour the coconut oil over your sugar mixture and quickly stir until everything is covered with the coconut oil and it resembles coarse wet sand.  Once you’re happy with the consistency just spoon your mixture into an airtight container and adorn with a bow! You’ve made a perfect all natural tea-infused stocking stuffer.
