A HOLIDAY LUNCH AT SLOANE HQ

Here at Sloane Fine Tea Merchants, we think of our team as family, so when the holiday season rolled around and everyone else started to plan their staff parties, we decided to do something a little bit different.

Instead of going bowling or meeting at a local bar, our founder Hoda put together a grand holiday feast in our staff room. Complete with berry tarts, creamy aged cheeses, gourmet olives and a giant bread bowl full of mini sandwiches from Rahier called “Pains Surprises”, it was a truly decadent affair. Place cards sat atop partridge in a pear tree holders in front of each place setting with names drawn out in hand written calligraphy, and a small favour waited to the right of each napkin. There was even a basket of freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream from Kitten and The Bear!

The hum of Christmas carols played quietly in the background as we all discussed our holiday plans between bites of pastry and sips of tea. All was calm, all was bright, and we went back to work that afternoon with our hearts filled with festive spirit. It was truly an afternoon to remember.
